Why rent rather than using satellite or cable?There is little likelihood of the market for home movie rentals diminishing because of competition from satellite or cable. There are several reasons for this. One major reason is that rental releases are typically at least 12 months ahead of free to air channels on these options and offer the customer the first chance to see a film outside the cinema. Revenue for film studios from home rental far surpasses that of cinema release and on the average film title accounts for over 50% of the films' return; so the studios are not going to remove this 'rental only' window in a hurry! So who are we particularly looking for at ViewPlus? Well, a cheerful personality is a considerable advantage. People skills are an essential attribute to have, plus a high level of self-motivation. Being a film buff in not necessary, although if you enjoy watching movies this will help you to understand your customers. There is potential for substantial reward but do not expect overnight success. Building up a spread of customers is a matter of steady progress. The more effort you put in during the early days the more you will reap the rewards later. Maintaining excellent customer service is the key. All established franchisees have customers who have loyally rented films and games regularly since joining ViewPlus when their branch was launched several years earlier. For them, there is nothing to beat the convenience and value for money ViewPlus has to offer. You will need to be patient and take a long-term view of the business. Here's how it works for youA key benefit of a ViewPlus franchise is that you can be up and running fairly quickly. The deliveries are simple to organise, and with our highly efficient system, a high number of home visits are possible during a short time. Obviously, the majority of deliveries are made during the evening as this is when people are at home. However there is no need to deliver on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday evening so you can have a long weekend every week. The customer keeps the titles for a whole month and so can watch them at a time convenient to them. For instance they can watch them on Saturday evening, even if they were actually delivered on Monday! Your customers will have already made their choice of films from the ViewPlus magazine so you know their order. Consequently time with the customer is kept to a minimum. The films and games are collected a week after their delivery. At this time another choice is delivered to the customer. The thing to bear in mind is that the ViewPlus service is not 'on demand' but is a weekly delivery service so you benefit from regular, repeat business. Using our in-house developed computer system you are able to organise your stock, measure demand and carry only those titles you need to meet it. Don't worry if you're not a computer whizz though. Full training will be given. Our service being mainly cash based means that you have an income the moment you start renting and finances are easy to control. This prevents the usual problems of starting a business with budgets over-stretched or managing a bad debt situation (the killer of the small business). Overheads are kept to a minimum. With only a small amount of storage space required there is no need to rent a shop. Our franchisees work from home and use converted bedrooms, lofts and garages as their offices. Most franchisees operate from a room averaging only 8 feet x 8 feet. A 'One Man Band' operation will typically service 160-200 weekly customers spread over four delivery rounds Monday to Thursday and generate an annual turnover of £25K-£30K once established. Two people can easily double this. As business expands you can employ flexible part-time staff to assist with deliveries and collections.

Territories are based on postcodes being combined to create an area with a minimum 75,000 head of population, this equates to approximately 30-35,000 households.
