We seek 'hands on' men and women throughout the UK to be trained as aqua-lec plumbers in our own City & Guilds and CITB approved training facilities at West Drayton (near Heathrow Airport).
If you are:
previously experienced in working in people's homes and are
a qualified or semi-skilled plumber
a skilled or semi-skilled tradesperson
an engineer, e.g. mechanical or central heating
an experienced DIY-er
or similar
then you may have the potential to be a successful Aqua-lec franchisee and we invite you to request more information from us.
aqua-lec is part of the gas-elec group which has a highly successful track record in home safety inspection services.
The aqua-lec franchisee will be:
Ideally experienced in working in people's homes - maybe as a qualified or semi-skilled plumber; skilled or semi-skilled tradesperson; mechanical engineer or central heating engineer. He/she may be an experienced DIY-er, but would need to provide evidence of completed projects and pass a practical assessment.
A Single Van Operator providing their own local marketing, sales, customer services and stock control. The franchisee will concentrate on offering an efficient and reliable general plumbing service and installation work, rather than 24/7 emergency work. He/she could be looking eventually to expand.
Reliable and trustworthy, efficient and self-motivated.
Local. S/he ideally should live in or adjoining the franchise area. Knowledge of the local area, advertising media, networking groups and other business opportunities is key to marketing and promoting the business. Being considered a 'local' is also a big selling point for customers.
Able to finance a total investment of approximately £22,350 as follows:
The initial investment for an aqua-lec franchise is the £14,000 franchise fee which includes usage of the brand, intellectual information, rights to a prime area of responsibility, a network of national suppliers, national freephone service, stationery and printing, operations manual and a local launch campaign.
The balance of the investment pays for specialised technical training, equipment packages including tools and branded workwear.
The Aqua Factor
The aqua-lec franchisee is responsible for management and developing local sales, customer services, stock control and for carrying out all plumbing and 'plumbing plus' services. Central support from aqua-lec Head Office includes training, call handling, invoicing, credit control, bookkeeping, administrative services, regional marketing and PR campaigns.
Plumbing Plus! As part of the gas-elec organisation, an aqua-lec plumber can offer a range of complementary home services. Other services include home health checks, energy surveys and inspection reports to prepare the home-owner for the forthcoming Home Information Pack.
Areas are available throughout the UK, defined by postcodes.
